Terms of Use
Last updated: 2026-07-03
These terms cover the two pieces of the Jawz ecosystem. Jawz is a hosted service your AI connects to for the Loop framework and the live market read. Rumo is an optional, local-first companion that keeps your investment memory in plain files on your own machine. By connecting to Jawz or installing Rumo, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use them.
Not investment advice
Jawz and Rumo are information and framework tools, not investment advice. Nothing they produce — the Loop framework, macro regime reads, financial conditions, prices, the Mako model portfolio, or any output your AI generates while using them — is a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any security, and none of it is tailored to your circumstances.
- No fiduciary or advisory relationship. Using Jawz or Rumo does not create an adviser–client, broker–dealer, or fiduciary relationship. We are not a registered investment adviser, broker-dealer, or financial planner, and we do not manage money or execute trades.
- The Mako model portfolio is illustrative. It is a published editorial track record, not a solicitation, an offer, or advice to replicate it. Past performance does not indicate future results.
- You are responsible for your own decisions. Markets carry risk, including loss of principal. Do your own research and consult a licensed professional before acting. Any decision you make is yours alone.
The Jawz service
Jawz is a hosted Model Context Protocol (MCP) server your AI assistant connects to. We aim to keep it available and accurate but provide it “as is”, without warranty of any kind. Market and macro data come from third-party sources and may be delayed, incomplete, or wrong; we do not warrant its accuracy or fitness for any purpose. We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time.
Data handling is described in our Privacy Policy. Setup and reviewer documentation for the connector is at /docs/mcp.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- abuse, overload, scrape, or attempt to disrupt or reverse-engineer the service or its rate limits;
- redistribute or resell third-party licensed data obtained through the service (for example, index or ETF-holdings data) outside your own use;
- use the service to breach any law or any third party’s rights, or to present its output to others as personalised financial advice.
Rumo — the local companion
Rumo runs entirely on your own device and writes only to a vault folder you control. It is provided “as is” under its own open licence included with the software. You are responsible for backing up your vault. Because Rumo makes no calls to any server we operate, your data never reaches us — see the Rumo section of the Privacy Policy.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Jawz, Rumo, and their operators are not liable for any trading or investment losses, or for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, arising from your use of — or reliance on — either product or its output. The tools inform your process; they do not make or guarantee outcomes.
Changes and contact
If these terms change, the updated version is posted here with a new “Last updated” date. Continued use after a change means you accept it. Questions about these terms: hello@jawz.ai.
